Island Quest Marine is a locally owned and operated family business. Captain Chris comes from a long line of fishermen and boat builders who have safely navigated the waters of the Bay of Fundy for generations. Growing up in a local fishing village, Chris, lured by a family tradition, spent years scalloping, lobstering and working in our traditional fishery, the herring weirs. After studying two years of boat building, Chris decided to change gears and head back to the Bay to share his extensive knowledge and love for the ocean aboard a v-hull he purchased and custom finished himself. You’ll love the unique and authentic stories and demonstrations Chris and his crew will describe on your 2½ to 3 hour ultimate adventure.

The M/V Island Quest is a new custom built cruiser which meets and exceeds all Canadian Coast Guard standards. It's design and speed makes it one of the fastest and most comfortable tour boats to leave the St. Andrews Harbour. This speed allows us to reach the whale feeding grounds quickly, so we can spend more time observing the whales and marine wildlife and less time getting there. The M/V Island Quest is certified to operate beyond inshore waters and can ensure the highest sighting rate possible! We offer comfortable inside and outside seating, room to move around, an upper deck for optimal viewing, and a washroom facility. Our certified captain and professional guides biologists/naturalists have been certified in MED’s, First Aid and CPR.
